This body of work is inspired by the timeless wisdom of Buddhism, drawing particularly on the text of the Heart Sutra alongside other reflections from Buddhist philosophy. Through these paintings, I seek to create new connections between East and West, and between the ancient and the contemporary. Free, gestural writing becomes both a visual rhythm and a meditative act, allowing meaning to flow naturally into the work while also evoking the beauty of impermanence and silence between words.
Gold plays a central role in the series, symbolizing the transcendent and the sacred — a bridge between the material and the spiritual.
These works are not only visual compositions but also contemplative spaces, inviting the viewer into a dialogue with universal questions of existence, emptiness, and awakening.

The picture consists of small blue flakes-droplets that form a stream. The surface of the canvas is covered by a texture, which forms a rich background.

Mushin (無心) is a Zen Buddhist concept meaning "no-mind" or "empty mind." It is a state of mental clarity, tranquility, and the absence of attachments, fear, or ego. In this state, a person reacts instinctively and spontaneously, which is critical in martial arts and creativity.

The Heart Sutra is a brief but central Buddhist text that expresses the teaching of emptiness. It explains that all things, including thoughts and feelings, have no fixed or independent nature. By realizing this, a person can let go of fear and attachment and awaken to true wisdom and compassion.

Buddha’s teachings have had a deep meaning in my life since I first met Buddhism as a teenager. They have supported me in difficult moments, giving me strength, patience, and a calmer way to look at myself and the world. The practice of mindfulness and compassion continues to inspire me to live more wisely, with greater kindness and inner balance.
